Solway Music:

Solway Music provides a number of services. It is run by Brian Melville a professional educator and musician with experience spanning more than 40 years. He is using his expertise in developing a number of ensembles which supply music for parties, weddings, celebrations and corporate functions.

BANDS

Solway Music has a variety of bands available capable of playing a wide cross section of music.

Swingthing

Swingthing is a jazz / swing / function band specialising in weddings, celebrations, parties and corporate engagements. This is a versatile group of musicians that  can easily provide music for your wedding or function that will cater for a wide spectrum of  tastes in music from jazz to swing through to pop.  A feature of this band is the fabulous voice of Ronnie Walker which enables the band to visit the days of swing music and the  infamous “rat pack.”They have performed not only in  Cumbria and the Lake District but in venues throughout the UK.

3jazz

3jazz is a quality jazz trio is available for your wedding reception, function or special event. The band has performed not only in Cumbria and the Lake District, but also in venues  throughout the north  of England and is a group of exceptional performers.    This trio has a wide repertoire of jazz and swing standards  ranging from the 1940’s until the present day.

Solo Piano

Brian Melville Solo pianist –  is available to create just the right ambience  for your wedding with a wide repertoire of jazz, swing and pop music for your reception or ceremony. Also available for lounge work throughout Cumbria and the Lake District.

West Coast Jazz

–  can be supplied in a variety of combinations.

Arranging – at Solway Music we have a variety of arrangements available from small to large ensembles and from vocal to instrumental.
